FLESH v SPIRIT

“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”
In this chapter, Apostle Paul established the liberty we have in Christ. Using the illustration of leavened bread, he warned the people of Galatians to be careful of the individual(s) trying to sow seeds of false teachings.
He also admonished them not to misuse the liberty in Christ. — “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”
The rest of the chapter saw Apostle Paul revisit the concept of the flesh & the Spirit. He talked about how both are eternal enemies and can’t co-exist. He advised that believers should always walk in the Spirit as it is the only antidote for us [believers] not to fulfil the desires of the flesh.
For clarity, he provided a list of things that characterized both the flesh & the Spirit (verses 19–23).
